The government and representatives of loan shark victims are preparing to sign a formal agreement today, marking a significant step toward resolving the victims' prolonged protest. The agreement aims to formalize an earlier verbal understanding reached in Simara between the Home Minister and the victims' representatives. Final negotiations are currently underway at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar to finalize the document. Intensive discussions were also held at the Prime Minister's Office on Thursday, building on the consensus reached in Simara. Once finalized, both sides are expected to sign the agreement, which is anticipated to address the key demands of the victims, establish mechanisms for resolving their grievances, propose legal solutions to existing disputes, and bring the long-running movement to a constructive conclusion.
