    NEPSE Falls 13.95 Points Despite Rs 5.18 Billion Turnover

    The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) declined by 13.95 points (0.51%) on Wednesday to close at 2,712.54, with investors trading shares worth Rs 5.18 billion across 346 listed companies.

    The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) ended Wednesday's trading session in negative territory, declining by 13.95 points (0.51%) to close at 2,712.54, following a gain of 7.25 points in the previous session. The benchmark index opened at 2,719.89, touched an intraday high of 2,722.58, and fell to a low of 2,694.54 before settling at the day's close. Investor activity remained strong, with a total turnover of Rs 5.18 billion generated from the trading of 11.36 million shares of 346 listed companies through 56,094 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs 46.61 trillion, while float market capitalization reached Rs 15.70 trillion. Ridi Power Company Limited (RIDI) led the turnover chart with Rs 423 million worth of shares traded, closing at Rs 386 per share. Everest Colour Limited (ECL) emerged as the top gainer with a 14.99% increase, while 9.5% NCC Debenture 2086 (NCCD86) posted the steepest decline, falling 7.16% to Rs 1,206. Among sectoral indices, the Finance Index recorded the highest gain of 0.49%, whereas the Trading Index suffered the biggest loss, declining 2.60%.
