    The Nepal Stock Exchange continued its upward momentum on the second trading day of FY 2083/84, with the benchmark index climbing 1.55% as investor sentiment remained strong.

    The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) continued its bullish trend on the second trading day of the fiscal year 2083/84, gaining 41.70 points (1.55%) to close at 2,719.24 after a strong 79.74-point rise in the previous session. The benchmark index touched an intraday high of 2,719.28 and a low of 2,659.53, while daily turnover reached Rs. 5.51 billion, with over 12.24 million shares of 343 listed companies traded through 67,155 transactions. The market's total capitalization stood at Rs. 46.73 trillion. Among individual stocks, Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company Ltd. (AKJCL) recorded the highest turnover at Rs. 29.15 crore, closing at Rs. 374.40 per share. Everest Colour Limited (ECL) emerged as the day's top gainer with a 14.97% increase, while Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (ANLB) posted the steepest decline, falling 6.86% to Rs. 5,700. Sector-wise, Manufacturing and Processing led the market with a 3.22% gain, whereas the Mutual Fund sub-index was the only sector to close lower, slipping 0.02%.
