    Latest Nepal Rastra Bank data reveals a massive shift toward digital finance, with mobile banking and QR codes leading the way as of Chaitra 2082 BS.

    The financial landscape of Nepal continues to undergo a rapid digital transition, evidenced by the comprehensive data released by Nepal Rastra Bank for the period ending Chaitra 2082 BS. Mobile banking has established itself as the primary vehicle for digital finance, managing an impressive volume of 7.44 crore transactions worth Rs 6.18 kharba. The QR code payment system has also demonstrated robust growth, facilitating 5.46 crore transactions totaling Rs 1.53 kharba, reflecting its widespread acceptance among both merchants and consumers. Furthermore, debit card transactions accounted for Rs 80.09 arba through 1.03 crore successful payments. These figures highlight the increasing reliance on electronic payment instruments and the successful implementation of digital infrastructure within the Nepalese banking sector.
