    NEPSE Edges Lower in Volatile Session; Daily Turnover Ticks Up to Rs 4.44 Billion

    The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) benchmark index registered a marginal single-digit drop of 1.46 points on Monday, closing at 2,700.65 amid mixed sectoral performance and steady trading volumes.

    NEPSE Edges Lower in Volatile Session; Daily Turnover Ticks Up to Rs 4.44 Billion

    The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index closed slightly lower on Monday, marking a marginal decline of 1.46 points or 0.05 percent to settle at 2,700.65 points. This soft correction follows a modest drop of 5.06 points during the previous Friday's trading session. Opening at 2,709.3 points, the benchmark index moved through narrow intraday boundaries before wrapping up the day. Despite the flat index, trading engagement remained healthy with total daily turnover reaching NPR 4.44 billion, as over 8.13 million shares exchanged hands across 353 scrips via 90,862 transactions. The total market capitalization stood firm at NPR 46.61 trillion by the closing bell.
