Particular attention will be given to employment generation, investment expansion, and policy and practical measures required to facilitate the repatriation of investment returns. The Finance Minister has also asked business representatives to submit written details of their key challenges and the support they expect from the government. Minister Wagle has intensified consultations with stakeholders to improve the effectiveness of budget implementation. As part of the same initiative, he has already held separate discussions with representatives of 33 major industrial business groups, CEOs of Class ‘A’ commercial banks, and executive directors of Nepal Rastra Bank. The Ministry of Finance said the latest consultation is aimed at addressing their concerns, improving the investment environment, and creating better conditions to attract additional foreign investment into Nepal.
