Anyone Have the PM's Number?" Prime Minister Balendra Shah's Satirical Post Goes Viral!

Prime Minister Balendra Shah triggered a wave of reactions on social media after posting a satirical status asking for the "PM's phone number" so he could apply to be an ambassador. The witty post was a direct swipe at Vice President's Office Secretary Krishna Hari Pushkar, who had privately messaged Shah lobbying for an ambassadorial appointment ahead of his upcoming retirement on July 8.

Anyone Have the PM's Number?" Prime Minister Balendra Shah's Satirical Post Goes Viral!

The intersection of bureaucracy and social media took a humorous turn this Saturday when Prime Minister Balendra Shah publicly lampooned a private job-seeking request from a high-ranking official. Krishna Hari Pushkar, currently serving as the Secretary at the Office of the Vice President, sent a text message to the Prime Minister noting his mandatory retirement on Asar 24 (July 8) and requesting an ambassadorial nomination. Instead of a private refusal, Prime Minister Shah chose to highlight the culture of political lobbying by posting on his official account, "I also want to become an ambassador, could someone please share the PM's number if you have it??" This satirical exposure has sparked widespread discussion on social media regarding accountability and professionalism within the civil service.
