Finance Minister Pushes for Legal Reforms in Capital Market
Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has directed authorities to propose legal measures aimed at strengthening and improving Nepal’s capital market.
Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has instructed concerned authorities to recommend necessary legal measures for the development and reform of Nepal’s capital market. He issued the directive during a meeting held at the Ministry of Finance on Monday with senior officials from Nepal Rastra Bank and the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON). The meeting was attended by NRB Governor Dr. Bishwanath Poudel, SEBON Chairman Dr. Gopal Bhatt, NRB Deputy Governor Kiran Pandit, and SEBON Deputy Executive Director Narayan Sharma Poudel. The discussion focused on identifying legal measures that could support further development and improvement of the country’s capital market.
