NEPSE Slips 1.20 Points Despite Rs 4.57 Billion Turnover

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) fell by 1.20 points (0.04%) on Monday to close at 2,684.33, following a gain of 12.96 points in the previous trading session. The benchmark index opened at 2,659.11, touched an intraday high of 2,705.46 and a low of 2,658.08 before settling at the day's close. Total daily turnover reached Rs 4.57 billion, with 11.45 million shares of 349 listed companies traded through 63,648 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs 46.13 trillion, while the float market capitalization was Rs 15.60 trillion. Reliance Spinning Mills Limited (RSML) emerged as the top turnover company with transactions worth Rs 27.62 crore, closing at Rs 2,780 per share. Everest Colour Limited (ECL) was the day's biggest gainer, rising 14.99% to Rs 1,505.60, while 10.25% KBL Debenture 2086 (KBLD86) posted the steepest decline, dropping 8.72% to Rs 1,266.50. Among sectoral indices, the Mutual Fund sector recorded the largest loss of 0.49%, while the Trading sector posted the smallest decline.
