Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the central monetary authority of the country, has announced the official foreign exchange rates for today, Sunday. According to the determination by the central bank, the purchase rate for one US Dollar (USD) has been fixed at Rs 151.88, while the selling rate stands at Rs 152.48. The update also establishes clear benchmarks for other prominent international currencies. The European Euro (EUR) maintains a purchase rate of Rs 175.80 and a selling rate of Rs 176.50, while the UK Pound Sterling (GBP) has been positioned at Rs 203.73 for purchasing and Rs 204.54 for selling. For regional trade dynamics, the Indian Rupee (INR) remains pegged, charting a purchase rate of Rs 160.00 and a selling rate of Rs 160.15 for every 100 rupees. Additionally, standard rates for major Pacific and North American currencies have been adjusted; the Australian Dollar (AUD) sits at a selling rate of Rs 107.35, and the Canadian Dollar (CAD) is capped at a selling rate of Rs 109.01. The central bank noted that these reference rates are subject to real-time revision based on fluctuating global market conditions. While the NRB rates serve as the national benchmark, operational exchange rates offered to the public by individual commercial banks may vary slightly. The complete, real-time updated matrix covering all traded currencies remains accessible directly via the central bank’s official portal.
