    Nabil Bank's Profit Jumps 33.5% to NPR 7.91 Billion

    Nabil Bank has reported a 33.5% year-on-year rise in net profit to NPR 7.91 billion for FY 2082/83, driven by lower impairment charges, improved operating performance, and stronger dividend capacity.

    Nabil Bank Limited has reported a strong financial performance for the fourth quarter of FY 2082/83, with net profit rising 33.50% year-on-year to NPR 7.91 billion from NPR 5.92 billion in the previous fiscal year. The growth was primarily driven by a sharp decline in impairment charges, which fell from NPR 4.20 billion to NPR 2.67 billion, alongside a 25.22% increase in operating profit to NPR 11.56 billion. The bank's net interest income also improved to NPR 17.09 billion, while its total distributable profit reached NPR 5.17 billion, translating into distributable earnings of NPR 19.10 per share. During the review period, customer deposits increased 12.95% to NPR 592.55 billion and loans expanded 12% to NPR 460.31 billion, pushing total assets up 15.38% to NPR 734.73 billion. Nabil Bank also reported an earnings per share (EPS) of NPR 28.36 and a net non-performing loan (NPL) ratio of 0.58%, reflecting improved asset quality and reinforcing expectations of attractive returns for shareholders.
