NEPSE Ends Almost Flat, Drops 0.26 Points to 2,622.48
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) remained largely stable on Wednesday, slipping 0.26 points after a sharp 19.34-point decline in the previous session. Turnover stood at Rs. 3.29 Arba.
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a marginal decline of 0.26 points (0.01%) today, closing at 2,622.48. The benchmark index opened at 2,622.84 and moved between an intraday high of 2,627.11 and a low of 2,609.84 before settling at the close. Total turnover stood at Rs. 3.29 Arba, with 9,508,882 shares traded across 346 companies through 42,709 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.10 Kharba, while float market capitalization was Rs. 15.21 Kharba. Sahas Urja Limited (SAHAS) topped the turnover chart with transactions worth Rs. 17.52 crores, closing at Rs. 701.00 per share. Mount Everest Power Development Limited (MEPDL) hit the upper circuit, gaining 14.99% to close at Rs. 693.60. On the other hand, Manakamana Engineering Hydropower Limited (MEHL) recorded the highest decline, falling 8.45% to close at Rs. 259.00. Among the sectoral indices, the Trading Index posted the highest gain, rising 0.76%, while the Finance Index recorded the highest loss, declining 0.22%.
