Nepal's tourism sector continues its aggressive post-pandemic recovery, charting a 19.5% year-on-year increase in international arrivals for the month of June 2026. According to the latest data released by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), compiled via the Department of Immigration, a total of 91,363 foreign tourists entered the country by air. This marks a substantial increase from the 76,425 arrivals recorded in June 2025. Significantly, the June 2026 figures successfully eclipsed pre-pandemic benchmarks. Compared to June 2019—previously recorded as the highest-performing baseline year with 74,883 arrivals—this year’s visitor data reflects a clear 22.01% expansion, confirming a sustainable growth trajectory for the national hospitality industry.
