Global IME Bank Promotes Buddhi Akela to Assistant CEO
Global IME Bank has elevated Deputy General Manager and Chief Risk Officer Buddhi Akela to the position of Assistant Chief Executive Officer, recognizing his more than two decades of banking experience.
Global IME Bank Limited (GBIME) has promoted Buddhi Akela to the position of Assistant Chief Executive Officer (ACEO). Akela was previously serving as Deputy General Manager and was also responsible for the role of Chief Risk Officer (CRO). Akela has more than 22 years of banking experience and has been associated with Global IME Bank since 2006. He began his banking career at Nepal Bank in 2004 as a Deputy Manager and has since gained extensive experience in risk management, business expansion, branch operations, credit administration and internal audit. In addition to his responsibilities at Global IME Bank, Akela serves as the Chairperson of the Board of Global IME Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha, a subsidiary of the bank. He holds an MBA from Pokhara University.
