Massive Surge in Bullion Market: Gold Shoots Up by Rs 4,700 in a Single Day
The domestic precious metals market witnessed a historic single-day spike on Sunday, with gold prices rising by Rs 4,700 per tola and silver increasing by Rs 145 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association.
The domestic bullion market started the week with an unprecedented rally on Sunday, as both gold and silver prices registered massive gains. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of fine gold surged by Rs 4,700 per tola, establishing a new market rate of Rs 283,800 per tola. Just a day prior, the precious yellow metal was trading at Rs 279,100 per tola. In tandem with gold, silver prices also experienced a sharp upward trajectory. The price of silver increased by Rs 145 per tola today, bringing the current rate to Rs 4,325 per tola, up from Saturday's trading price of Rs 4,180 per tola.
