    The benchmark index settled at 2,740.25 points as market sentiment remained cautious, recording an intraday turnover of Rs. 2.80 Arba.

    NEPSE Dips for Second Straight Day Amid Moderate Trading Activity

    The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a back-to-back loss on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, as the benchmark index retreated by 4.15 points to settle at 2,740.25. Market activity saw a total turnover of Rs. 2.80 Arba, involving the trade of 5,643,288 shares from 339 distinct companies. SY Panel Nepal Limited led the market in terms of liquidity, contributing Rs. 27.79 crores to the total turnover. While the overall market sentiment remained slightly bearish, Asian Hydropower Limited stood out as the top performer with an 11.42% appreciation in share price. Conversely, Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited saw the most significant contraction, dropping 11.17%. Despite the general decline, sectoral performance was mixed, with the Trading Index outperforming others by gaining 1.50%.
