Panic Hits Nepal's Business Giants: Top Industrialists Rush to RSP Chief Rabi Lamichhane Amid Wave of Arrests

Following a series of arrests involving prominent business figures, representatives from the private sector have initiated discussions with Rabi Lamichhane, Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). A meeting is scheduled for Sunday between Lamichhane and leaders from the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), and the Nepal Chamber of Commerce. The business community is advocating for a policy where their concerns are heard first and individuals are only detained if wrongdoing is substantiated, rather than being arrested immediately.
