Prithvi Highway Fully Reopens for Two-Way Traffic After New Track Opens

The Prithvi Highway has fully resumed two-way traffic at the Krishnabhir section of Dhading after a new track was constructed at the location where the road had sunk, disrupting connectivity with Kathmandu. According to the District Administration Office, Dhading, vehicles have been operating in both directions from 6:00 AM today. The highway section had been completely closed after the Bhotekoshi River flood in Rasuwa on Bhadra 10 caused the road at Krishnabhir to sink. The Road Division Office subsequently constructed a new track at the affected section to restore vehicular movement. Although traffic has resumed, authorities have warned that road sinking, landslides, falling rocks and soil remain risks at several locations along the highway. Drivers and passengers have been advised to exercise caution, especially during rainfall, avoid traveling when dangerous road conditions are encountered, follow instructions from security personnel and road workers, and make travel plans based only on official information.
