SEBON Approves Laxmi Sunrise Bank's 7% Debenture Worth Rs 3 Arba
The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has granted official approval to Laxmi Sunrise Bank Limited for the issuance of its "10 yrs, 7% Laxmi Sunrise Debenture 2092." The massive bond issue, worth Rs 3 Arba, will offer investors an annual yield of 7% over a 10-year maturity period, with Machapuchhre Capital Limited managing the public and private allocations.
The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has formally approved the upcoming debt issuance from Laxmi Sunrise Bank Limited, giving the regulatory nod on Ashad 09, 2083. Titled the "10 yrs, 7% Laxmi Sunrise Debenture 2092," the issue comprises 30 lakh units valued at a par value of Rs 1,000 per unit, bringing the total issue size to Rs 3 Arba. According to the approved framework, 12 lakh units (worth Rs 1.2 Arba) will be allocated directly to the general public, while the remaining 18 lakh units (worth Rs 1.8 Arba) are slated for subscription via private placement. Machapuchhre Capital Limited has been designated as the issue manager to oversee the entire floatation process. Designed as a long-term fixed-income instrument, the debenture carries a maturity period of 10 years—set to mature in the Bikram Sambat year 2092—and guarantees a fixed annual return of 7% to its unit holders.
