Domestic Bullion Rates Witness Pronounced Mid-Week Decline
Gold prices plunge by Rs 3,300 per tola to Rs 292,000, while silver slides to Rs 4,960 in Nepal.
The domestic bullion market in Nepal experienced a substantial contraction on Wednesday, with the values of both gold and silver registering significant losses. According to the daily data released by the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of fine gold plummeted by Rs 3,300 per tola, adjusting its trading rate down to Rs 292,000 from Tuesday’s closing price of Rs 295,300. Simultaneously, the silver market mirrored this downward trajectory as prices fell by Rs 125 per tola. Following this correction, silver concluded the trading session at Rs 4,960 per tola, marking a noticeable contraction from the Rs 5,085 evaluated during the previous trading day.
