Four Companies Hit Positive Circuit as NEPSE Rises

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index maintained its positive momentum on the first trading day of the week, Monday, closing with a modest gain. The benchmark index rose by 7.73 points, ending the session at 2796.43 points. This follows the upbeat trend established during last Friday's closing. While the index edged up, market liquidity saw a slight contraction. Daily turnover stood at Rs 4.74 billion, a decrease from Friday’s Rs 5.27 billion. A total of 10.92 million shares from 351 companies were traded through 81,006 transactions. The day was marked by strong performance from specific stocks, with Corporate Development Bank, Palpa Cement Industries, Shikhar Power Development, and City Hotel all hitting the 15% positive circuit level. On the flip side, NIFRA Green Energy Debenture 2088/89 saw the sharpest decline, falling by 14.01%. In terms of volume, Reliance Spinning Mills led the market with a turnover of Rs 307.4 million. Sector-wise, the Manufacturing and Processing index gained the most (1.52%), while the Trading sector faced the highest correction, dropping 1.39%
