NEPSE Bleeds Over 34 Points as Market Slides Below 2,710 Mark

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a significant downturn today, dropping by 34.63 points, or 1.26%, to close at 2,704.08. This follows a minor decline of 5.73 points in the previous session. Throughout the day, the index hit a high of 2,742.58 and a low of 2,697.14. Market activity resulted in a total turnover of Rs. 4.26 Arba, involving the exchange of over 10 million shares across 341 companies through 68,635 transactions. NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited saw the highest turnover at Rs. 31.36 crores, with its share price closing at Rs. 1,395.00. In terms of individual performance, Forward Microfinance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited surged by 15% to end at Rs. 1,260.40, while Corporate Development Bank Limited faced the steepest decline, falling 12.58% to Rs. 2,098.00. Among the sectors, Manufacturing and Processing saw the largest drop of 2.54%, whereas the Microfinance sector managed a marginal gain of 0.14 points.
