The benchmark index commenced today's trading session at 2,726.71, fluctuating between an intraday peak of 2,734.73 and a low of 2,719.27 before settling at a 0.23% loss. Despite the marginal dip in the primary index, market activity showed resilience as total daily turnover reached Rs. 3.08 Arba. A total of 7,816,478 shares were exchanged across 346 companies via 45,519 transactions. By the closing bell, Nepal's total market capitalization stood at Rs. 46.46 Kharba, with the float market capitalization recorded at Rs. 15.53 Kharba. In corporate specifics, City Hotel Limited (CITY) heavily dominated market attention; it topped the turnover chart with a substantial Rs. 23.53 crores in transactions, though it simultaneously endured the day's sharpest decline, dropping 6.84% to close at Rs. 368.00. Conversely, Corporate Development Bank Limited (CORBL) emerged as the day’s standout performer, leading the gainers with a robust 14.26% surge to finish at Rs. 2,300.00. Sectoral performance remained mixed, with the Development Bank Index securing the highest gains at 0.77%, while the Trading Index faced the steepest contraction, sliding by 1.24%.
