NEPSE Jumps 27.85 Points with AKJCL Leading Turnover Charts
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) bounced back into green territory on Monday, climbing 1% to close at 2,786.35 points backed by a robust turnover of Rs 5.98 Arba.
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) extended its positive momentum on Monday, advancing by 27.85 points or 1.00% to settle at 2,786.35 points. The market opened the week's second trading session at 2,752.95, hitting an intraday high of 2,790.34 before closing near its peak. Trading volume remained strong with a total turnover of Rs 5.98 Arba, accumulated through the exchange of 14.54 million shares across 342 listed companies via 75,856 transactions. Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company Ltd (AKJCL) commanded the highest market liquidity, posting an individual turnover of Rs 60.20 crores to close at Rs 418 per share. On the sectoral front, the Hydropower index led the broader market gains with a 1.50% surge, while the Mutual Fund sector lagged slightly, registering a minor decline of 0.20%. By the closing bell, Nepal's total equity market capitalization stood at Rs 47.52 Kharba.
