NEPSE Rebounds With 22-Point Gain, Closes at 2,777.58
NEPSE bounced back on Tuesday, gaining 22.21 points to close at 2,777.58, with finance stocks leading the market rally.
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) rebounded on Tuesday, gaining 22.21 points, or 0.80 percent, to close at 2,777.58. The recovery comes after the benchmark index had fallen 26.72 points in the previous trading session. The index opened at 2,758.08 and moved between an intraday low of 2,745.66 and a high of 2,777.58 before ending the day at its session peak. Daily turnover reached Rs 5.26 Arba, with more than 11.38 million shares of 346 listed companies traded through 61,527 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs 47.39 Kharba, while float market capitalization was recorded at Rs 15.85 Kharba. Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company Ltd (AKJCL) emerged as the most actively traded stock with turnover of Rs 46.76 crore, closing at Rs 439.90. Kalinchock Hydropower Limited (KHPL) led the gainers with a 14.99 percent rise to Rs 498.20, while Nabil Debenture 2085 (NBLD85) posted the steepest decline, falling 4.59 percent to Rs 1,040. Among sectoral indices, Finance recorded the highest gain of 6.03 percent, whereas Manufacturing and Processing was the only major laggard, declining 0.42 percent.
