Swabhimaan Laghubitta to Distribute No Dividend for Last Fiscal Year

Swabhimaan Laghubitta (SMFBS) has modified its fiscal year profit-sharing agenda, moving from a 10% dividend payout to a zero-dividend declaration. The microfinance company’s board had initially approved 9.5% bonus shares and a 0.50% cash dividend back in February/March (Falgun 15) and forwarded it to the central bank. Upon reviewing compliance parameters and regulatory adjustments needed for a healthier financial report, the board officially cancelled the entire payout during its Jestha 8 meeting, leaving the prior dividend proposal entirely void.
