Thursday Market Update: Gold and Silver Rates Witness Decline
Gold dropped to Rs 298,700 and silver to Rs 5,020 per tola following a significant two-day price slump in the domestic market.
On Thursday, April 23, 2026 (Baisakh 10), the Nepali bullion market saw a notable decrease in the prices of precious metals. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of gold plummeted by Rs 1,800 per tola, bringing the trading rate down to Rs 298,700 from Wednesday's Rs 300,500. Similarly, silver prices faced a dip of Rs 110 per tola, now trading at Rs 5,020. This downward trend marks the second consecutive day of falling prices for both metals in the local market.
