Eight Apply for NEPSE CEO Position

Eight candidates have applied for the vacant Chief Executive Officer (CEO) position at the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), according to the Ministry of Finance. The applications were registered by the deadline of Shrawan 26. The recommendation committee formed to select the new NEPSE CEO will now begin evaluating the professional business plans submitted by the applicants. According to Ministry of Finance spokesperson Amrit Lamsal, experts will assess the business plans before the committee prepares a shortlist of the strongest candidates. Those shortlisted will then be required to present their business plans and participate in interviews as part of the final selection process. The recommendation committee had invited applications from Shrawan 12 to Shrawan 26. Candidates for the position are required to hold a master’s degree in economics, commerce, finance, management, or information technology, or a Chartered Accountancy (CA) qualification. Applicants must also have at least 15 years of professional experience in the capital market or financial sector, including a minimum of seven years in a senior management position. The completion of the selection process is expected to pave the way for new leadership at NEPSE.
