NEPSE Inches Up 0.55 Points to 2,642.40
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) posted another marginal gain on Wednesday, rising 0.55 points (0.02%) to close at 2,642.40, extending its winning streak for a second consecutive session.
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) extended its positive momentum for a second consecutive trading session, gaining 0.55 points (0.02%) to close at 2,642.40. The benchmark index opened at 2,641.27 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,648.57 and a low of 2,629.22 before settling at the closing level. Trading activity remained moderate, with total turnover reaching Rs. 3.53 Arba. A total of 8,701,944 shares of 348 companies changed hands through 43,990 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.41 Kharba, while float market capitalization reached Rs. 15.34 Kharba. NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) topped the turnover chart with transactions worth Rs. 31.60 crore, closing at Rs. 1,430 per share. Meanwhile, Mount Everest Power Development Limited (MEPDL) emerged as the top gainer, hitting the 15% upper circuit to close at Rs. 345. On the losing side, 12% ICFC Finance Limited Debenture 2083 (ICFCD83) recorded the steepest decline, falling 15% to Rs. 1,049. Sector-wise, the Investment Index led the gainers with a 2.21% increase, whereas the Manufacturing and Processing Index recorded the biggest decline, falling 0.71%. Overall, the market remained largely stable, with the benchmark index maintaining its upward momentum despite limited gains.
