NEPSE Flatline: Market Closes Slightly Lower at 2,730.91

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) entered a brief consolidation phase today, pausing its recent upward momentum with a marginal decline of 1.03 points to settle at 2,730.91. Traders adopted a cautious approach, causing the intraday turnover to contract slightly below the 2.5 Arba threshold, wrapping up at Rs. 2.45 Arba. Volatility remained compressed as the index vibrated between a high of 2,741.20 and a low of 2,722.67. High-liquidity names drove the session's narrative, with Sahas Urja Limited (SAHAS) emerging as the heavily traded favorite, commanding Rs. 8.43 crores in turnover. On the sector front, a minor rotation was visible; while profit-taking in the "Others" index pulled it down by 0.31%, immediate defensive buying in Non-Life Insurance securities lifted that specific counter by 0.69%, keeping the broader market capitalization stable at Rs. 46.57 Kharba.
