Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited (RBB) has announced that today, October 27 (Kartik 10), is the last day to apply for its 6% RBB Debenture 2089, which opened for subscription on October 15 (Ashoj 29). The seven-year debenture offers investors an annual interest rate of 6%. The bank is issuing 3 million debenture units at a face value of Rs. 1,000 each, raising a total of Rs. 3 billion. Of the total issue, 60%—equivalent to 1.8 million units worth Rs. 1.8 billion—will be privately placed, while the remaining 40%, or 1.2 million units worth Rs. 1.2 billion, will be offered to the general public. Of the units allocated to the public, 5%, equivalent to 60,000 units, has been reserved for mutual funds. Investors can apply for a minimum of 25 units and a maximum of the entire issue. Kumari Capital Limited has been appointed as the issue and sales manager. Eligible investors can submit applications through the C-ASBA system at banks and financial institutions participating in the service and their designated branches. Applications can also be submitted online through the Mero Share platform operated by CDS and Clearing Limited. For the credit rating of the debenture issue, CARE Ratings Nepal has assigned RBB a CARE-NP Single A Plus issuer rating, indicating an adequate degree of safety regarding the timely fulfillment of financial obligations. Interest earned on the debenture will be paid after the completion of the first and second half-year periods of each fiscal year, following the deduction of applicable taxes.
