NEPSE Extends Losing Streak with Minor Drop; Newly Listed SNORL Hits 15% Positive Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell slightly by 2.00 points (0.07%) to close at 2,649.51, extending its losses after yesterday's 8.50-point drop. The benchmark fluctuated between a high of 2,662.44 and a low of 2,640.26 during the session. Despite the index dip, market liquidity improved with daily turnover reaching रू 3.94 arba, backed by 7.72 million shares changing hands across 359 companies via 39,546 transactions. Total market capitalization wrapped up at रू 45.34 kharba. In corporate highlights, newly listed Snow Rivers Limited (SNORL) stole the spotlight, surging 15.00% to hit a positive circuit and close at रू 343.50. Global IME Bank Debenture 2086/87 (GBILD86/87) led the turnover board with transactions worth रू 33.16 crore, closing at रू 1,141.80. On the downside, Kalika Laghubitta (KMCDB) plummeted 10.76% to lead the losers at रू 821.00. Sectorally, the Trading Index gained the most at 1.08%, while the Microfinance Index registered the steepest decline, dropping 0.56%.
