    Petroleum Imports Through Kakarbhitta Reach Rs. 24.50 Billion

    Kakarbhitta Customs imported Rs. 24.50 billion worth of petroleum products, including petrol, diesel, and LPG, during the last fiscal year, generating billions of rupees in government revenue.

    The Kakarbhitta Customs Office imported petroleum products worth Rs. 24.50 billion during the last fiscal year, including petrol, diesel, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). According to customs data, petrol accounted for the largest share at Rs. 12.18 billion, followed by diesel worth Rs. 9.55 billion and LPG imports valued at Rs. 2.77 billion. Compared to the previous fiscal year, fuel imports through the Kakarbhitta border increased significantly. Customs Chief Shivlal Nyaupane said the imports generated Rs. 5.85 billion in revenue from petrol and Rs. 2.93 billion from diesel, highlighting the border point's growing contribution to Nepal's customs revenue.
