Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank’s Issuer Rating Upgraded to CARE-NP BBB-
CARE Ratings Nepal has upgraded Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank’s issuer rating from CARE-NP BB+ to CARE-NP BBB-, citing improvements in capital strength, asset quality, profitability, business growth, and liquidity.
Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Limited (KSBBL) has received an upgrade in its issuer rating from CARE Ratings Nepal Limited. The rating agency has upgraded the bank’s previous CARE-NP BB+ Issuer Rating to CARE-NP BBB- Issuer Rating. According to CARE Ratings Nepal, the CARE-NP BBB- rating indicates a moderate level of safety regarding the timely servicing of financial obligations, along with moderate credit risk. The rating upgrade has been supported by several factors, including strengthened capital adequacy, improvements in credit quality management, an experienced board and management team, improved profitability, business growth, a better deposit structure, and strong liquidity. The bank expects the upgraded rating to further strengthen the confidence of depositors, borrowers, shareholders, investors, regulators, and other stakeholders. It also believes the improved rating could support resource mobilization at competitive costs and help expand institutional deposits and business partnerships. Under its “Future Ready” approach, the bank has stated that it continues to focus on secure, responsible, technology-driven, and sustainable banking practices to strengthen its institutional position and support long-term business expansion.
