The infrastructural and financial expansion of Nepal Bank Limited took center stage in Hetauda as Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle inaugurated its new three-story provincial headquarters, built for NPR 4.72 crore via the central bank's note fund. Addressing the assembly, the bank's executive leadership detailed a robust financial standing, highlighted by a customer base of 2.7 million and a workforce of 3,700 employees spanning 231 branches. Demonstrating strong fiscal alignment with national interests, the bank has channeled NPR 140 billion into government securities, while 51 percent of its post-tax profits flow directly back to the state treasury as the majority shareholder. Executive Director Tilakraj Pandey also pointed out a sharp drop in over-the-counter traffic, signaling a highly successful digital migration and rising consumer trust in the bank's electronic banking APIs and digital products.
