Kumari Bank Pioneers Nepal's First ERP-Driven Digital Loan Platform for SMEs

Kumari Bank Limited has partnered with IMS Software Pvt. Ltd. to launch Nepal's first integrated digital credit platform driven by Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, aimed at revolutionizing the country's digital banking landscape. Under this innovative initiative, business clients utilizing IMS ERP software can secure collateral-free working capital loans of up to Rs. 500,000 without undergoing lengthy paperwork or visiting bank branches. The platform digitizes the entire loan lifecycle—including application, approval, disbursement, and repayment—and leverages real-time transaction, sales, and inventory data from the ERP system to assess creditworthiness instantly. Designed to minimize credit assessment times and eliminate traditional collateral barriers, the loan features a 12-month Equal Monthly Installment (EMI) repayment structure, with plans to scale loan limits in the future based on demand and Nepal Rastra Bank guidelines. Aligned with the central bank's vision for digital credit expansion, this initiative directly targets Nepal's 900,000+ small and medium enterprises (SMEs), promising to enhance financial inclusion, foster entrepreneurship, and drive broader economic growth.
