    National Assembly to Discuss Budget, Key Financial Bills Today

    The National Assembly will discuss the Appropriation Bill, 2083, along with key economic and debt-related bills, as lawmakers review the government's spending priorities for the upcoming fiscal year.

    National Assembly to Discuss Budget, Key Financial Bills Today

    The National Assembly is scheduled to meet at 1:15 pm today to deliberate on the Appropriation Bill, 2083, and discuss the government's proposed expenditure plan for the upcoming fiscal year. The meeting will also receive official messages from the House of Representatives on the Economic Bill, 2083 and the National Debt Recovery Bill, 2083, which will be tabled by National Assembly Secretary Tul Bahadur Kandel. Following the tabling of the bills, lawmakers will hold detailed discussions on budget allocations for key ministries, including Finance, Home Affairs, Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Energy, Agriculture, Industry, Foreign Affairs, Forests and Environment, and Defence. The Assembly will also review proposed budgets for constitutional bodies such as the Office of the President, Office of the Vice President, Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, and the National Planning Commission, as part of the process to finalize the country's fiscal framework for the new fiscal year.
