NEPSE Falls 5.30 Points as Turnover Reaches Rs. 4.10 Arba
Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) continued its downward trend on Tuesday, falling 5.30 points (0.20%) to close at 2,594.27, following a 19.13-point decline in the previous session.
The benchmark index opened at 2,598.49 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,608.73 and a low of 2,588.11. Total turnover stood at Rs. 4.10 Arba, with 10,044,164 shares traded across 357 companies through 46,589 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.62 Kharba, while float market capitalization was Rs. 15.05 Kharba. Makar Jitumaya Suri Hydropower (MAKAR) led the turnover chart with transactions worth Rs. 90.07 crore, closing at Rs. 439. Meanwhile, Sarvottam Paints (SAPIL) hit the upper circuit, gaining 14.99% to Rs. 1,054.70. Dhaulagiri Laghubitta (DLBS) recorded the steepest decline, falling 10.07% to Rs. 1,034.20. Among sectoral indices, Non-Life Insurance posted the highest gain of 0.36%, while the Finance Index suffered the largest decline of 0.91%.
