Finance Minister Wagle Begins Ministry-Wise Talks to Fast-Track Budget Implementation
Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has launched a series of ministry-level discussions to ensure the effective and timely implementation of Nepal’s FY 2083/84 budget.
Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle on Monday began high-level discussions with key ministries to accelerate the implementation of the FY 2083/84 budget. The meeting, held at the Ministry of Finance, focuses on improving inter-ministerial coordination, addressing implementation challenges, and ensuring the budget delivers measurable results. The discussion was attended by National Planning Commission Vice-Chair Dr. Gunakar Bhatta, Finance Secretary Dr. Ghanshyam Upadhyaya, and secretaries from major spending ministries, including Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Industry, Agriculture, Health, and Education. Officials are presenting updates on their ministry priorities and ongoing projects, while the Finance Minister has emphasized that timely execution and tangible outcomes are as important as budget allocation. The government plans to incorporate recommendations from the discussions to strengthen budget implementation throughout the fiscal year.
