Gas Alert: 87,877 LPG Cylinders Rushed to Kathmandu

Nepal Oil Corporation has introduced an alternative supply arrangement to prevent a cooking-gas shortage in Kathmandu Valley following the disruption of the Prithvi Highway at Krishnabhir in Dhading. Empty cylinders from Kathmandu, Dhading and Kavrepalanchok have been transported to LPG plants in Bara, Parsa, Makwanpur, Chitwan, Nawalparasi, Dhanusha and Mahottari for refilling before being brought back through alternative routes. A total of 87,877 LPG cylinders were supplied to Kathmandu over three days, with 24,494 cylinders delivered on Bhadra 18, 34,134 on Bhadra 19 and 29,249 on Bhadra 20. The alternative arrangement will continue until normal road connectivity is restored.
