    The Nepal Stock Exchange continued its upward momentum on Tuesday, with the benchmark index rising 7.25 points, while daily turnover stood at Rs. 6.67 billion.

    The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) extended its gains on Tuesday, with the benchmark index rising 7.25 points (0.26%) to close at 2,726.49, following a 41.70-point surge in the previous session. The index touched an intraday high of 2,754.08 and a low of 2,704.96, while total daily turnover reached Rs. 6.67 billion through the trading of 14.92 million shares of 343 listed companies in 75,010 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 46.85 trillion, with float market capitalization at Rs. 15.76 trillion. Ridi Power Company Limited emerged as the top turnover company with transactions worth Rs. 55.77 crore, while Everest Colour Limited led the gainers with a 14.98% rise. On the losing side, 7% Nabil Debenture 2089 declined 7.44%, marking the steepest fall of the day. Among sectoral indices, the Trading Index posted the highest gain of 2.88%, whereas the Mutual Fund Index recorded the biggest decline, slipping 0.71%.
