The government has reaffirmed its commitment to building a stronger government–private sector partnership to accelerate Nepal’s economic growth. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle said the government will protect legally made investments, earned profits, and assets while focusing on creating a more predictable and investment-friendly business environment. He emphasized that the priority is not only revenue collection but also strengthening the cycle of production, investment, profit, and reinvestment to boost employment and economic activity. The government also plans to establish a Response Desk at the Finance Ministry to address business concerns and has sought recommendations on key barriers related to taxation, regulation, land, energy, labor, infrastructure, finance, and exports.
