NEPSE Gains 11.93 Points to Close at 2,624; Turnover Hits Rs. 5.49 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) gained 11.93 points (0.45%) today to close at 2,624.36, recovering from a 21.19-point decline in the previous trading session. The benchmark index opened at 2,616.12 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,637.58 and a low of 2,615.69 before closing at 2,624.36. Total turnover stood at Rs. 5.49 arba, with 13,610,496 shares traded across 339 companies through 51,728 transactions. The total market capitalization reached Rs. 45.17 kharba, while float market capitalization stood at Rs. 15.28 kharba. Siddhartha Bank Limited (SBL) topped the turnover chart with transactions worth Rs. 33.62 crore, closing at Rs. 447 per share. Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (DLBS) led the gainers, rising 12.43% to close at Rs. 1,248. Meanwhile, Hathway Investment Nepal Limited (HATHY) recorded the highest decline, falling 2.97% to Rs. 588 per share. Among the sectoral indices, the Life Insurance Index posted the highest gain of 1.08%, while the Investment Index recorded the highest decline, falling 0.18%.
