Market Alert: Historic Peak as Gold Hits Rs 300,500 Today

The domestic bullion market witnessed a significant surge on Monday, April 27, 2026 (Baisakh 14), as the prices of both gold and silver continued their upward trajectory. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, gold prices increased by Rs 1,300 per tola, while silver saw a rise of Rs 50 per tola compared to the previous trading day. Fine gold is currently trading at a historic high of Rs 300,500 per tola, up from Sunday's closing price of Rs 299,200. Similarly, silver is being traded at Rs 5,045 per tola, rising from the previous rate of Rs 4,995. This persistent rally in precious metals reflects the ongoing volatility and bullish sentiment in the global market, further impacting the local rates in Nepal.
