Mechanical foreman Sanjay Sah, who had been trapped inside a tunnel of the Upper Trishuli 3A Hydropower Project following the devastating Bhotekoshi flood, has been rescued alive after a prolonged rescue effort. Sah was brought to the Nepal Army Hospital in Chhauni, Kathmandu, on Friday morning for further medical treatment and health examinations. He had been working as a mechanical foreman at the project and became trapped inside the tunnel after the flood struck the area on Bhadra 10. His successful rescue has emerged as a rare positive development amid the large-scale devastation caused by the floods. The disaster has reportedly claimed around 1,200 lives, while thousands of people remain missing.
