Government Office Hours Change to Winter Schedule from Tomorrow
Government offices, public institutions, and community schools across Nepal will switch to winter operating hours from tomorrow, Kartik 16, following the schedule announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Under the revised timetable, offices will operate from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM instead of the previous 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the new winter schedule will remain in effect until Magh 15. The revised working hours will apply to government offices, public entities, and community schools across the country. Under the new arrangement, regular office hours will begin at 9:00 AM and end at 4:00 PM, reducing the daily working period by one hour compared to the previous schedule. Similarly, government offices and public institutions will observe weekly holidays on Saturdays and Sundays. Regular operations will continue from Monday through Friday. The seasonal adjustment has been introduced as part of the government's annual winter office schedule.
