NEPSE Plunges 43.89 Points as Selling Pressure Intensifies

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a sharp decline on Wednesday, dropping 43.89 points (1.71%) to close at 2,513.45, with most sectors ending in the red.

The NEPSE index fell 43.89 points (1.71%) to close at 2,513.45 today, extending its decline from the previous session. The index opened at 2,555.07 and fluctuated between a high of 2,556.96 and a low of 2,508.49. Total turnover stood at Rs. 3.64 Arba, with 9.32 million shares traded across 347 companies through 68,137 transactions. Shivam Cements (SHIVM) led turnover at Rs. 26.38 crores, while ULBSL gained 13.16% to hit the upper circuit. MKJC suffered the highest loss, falling 14.98%. Among sectors, Manufacturing and Processing gained 0.70%, while Non-Life Insurance recorded the steepest decline of 5.03%.
