Nepal Bank Deposits Rs. 84.20 Lakh Employee Contribution to Disaster Relief Fund

Nepal Bank Limited has contributed Rs. 84.20 lakh collected from its employees’ salaries to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. The bank deposited Rs. 84,20,898.93 on Ashoj 6, 2083, responding to the government’s call for employees of public institutions to contribute to the relief fund. The contribution is aimed at supporting relief, rescue and rehabilitation efforts for people affected by floods in Rasuwagadhi, the Bhotekoshi River and downstream areas. This is not the bank’s first contribution to the disaster relief efforts. Earlier, Nepal Bank had provided Rs. 3.01 crore from its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. The bank had also supported affected communities by providing food and other essential supplies following the disaster.
