US Launches Airstrikes on Over 80 Iranian Military Targets; Tehran Warns of ‘Decisive Response’

The United States has launched a new wave of airstrikes against more than 80 military targets in Iran, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced. According to the military, the operation was carried out in response to attacks on three commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global shipping route. In response, Iran’s senior military leadership strongly condemned the US strikes, warning of a "strong and decisive response." Iranian officials stated that any American interference in the management and security of the Strait of Hormuz is unacceptable, adding that the country's armed forces are prepared to take appropriate retaliatory measures.
