Nepali Entrepreneur's AI Cybersecurity Firm Debuts on India's Stock Exchange

Kritikal Tech Limited, an AI-powered cybersecurity company co-founded by Nepali entrepreneur Deepjang Thapa from Khotang, has been listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) SME Platform, becoming the first company with a Nepali founder to be publicly listed on India's stock market. The company's initial public offering (IPO) received an overwhelming response from investors, with subscriptions reaching 205 times the shares on offer. Founded in 2013 while its founders were still engineering students, Kritikal Tech provides AI-driven cybersecurity solutions, consulting, and regulatory compliance services to clients across banking, fintech, telecommunications, healthcare, information technology, and other industries in India and the Middle East. The company said the capital raised through the IPO will be used to expand its presence in the United States, the Middle East, and other international markets, while also investing in new technologies. As part of its expansion into Nepal, Kritikal Tech has already partnered with Gap Technologies, a Kathmandu-based technology company.
